Reminders for your child's health:

  • Remember to teach your child good hygiene habits such as bathing daily, washing hands after using the restroom and before eating, and anytime they are dirty. Also, discuss the need for brushing his or her teeth at least twice a day and wearing deordorant.
  • Discuss the importance of handwashing as a way to prevent disease and infection.
  • Always cover any break in the skin so that germs will not enter the wound.
  • Do not send your child to school with a fever.  They should be fever- free for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
  • If you notice what looks like an insect bite or a rash, it may need to be checked by a doctor.  Sometimes infections look like rashes and insect bites!

If your child has to take a medication at school , the medication cannot be brought in by the student.  A parent or guardian has to bring in the medicine and sign a medication form.

The medication cannot be given without the medication form.
