Tuscumbia City Schools

Stakeholders

Please be advised that all Tuscumbia City Schools will be open on Monday, March 16, 2020 and plan to be open through Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  This is a very fluid situation, so please continue to check back frequently as well as monitor all other communication methods you normally receive from Tuscumbia City Schools.

Per guidance from State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Eric Mackey, all students who are not in attendance at school Monday, March 16-18, 2020 will be excused for all purposes to include perfect attendance, exam exemptions, and any other purpose.

In order to give you a better understanding of this situation.  All employees of Tuscumbia City Schools have been working diligently to create and develop a plan to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the students. On Monday, March 16, 2020, the Leadership Team of Tuscumbia City Schools will meet again to develop a more comprehensive plan to include enrichment activities for children, possible food distribution, and other essential needs.  We will disseminate the new information by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020.

Please understand again that this is a very fluid and unprecedented situation that we are currently facing.  Please be patient during this time as new information becomes available, we will have to modify our plans.
